Interviews are coming up this month! Congratulations to those of you that received interviews for the available internships posted on jobs for gators at the beginning of the semester! RSM, GBH and Briggs & Veselka are a few companies that have upcoming interviews. Here are a few tips on making yourself stand out among the hundreds of other applicants.
1. Do research not only on the company but also those that you will be interviewing with. You can look them up on linkedin if you are given their names within your confirmation email.
2. Dress for the job that you wish to obtain. If you want to be a fry cook, dress like a fry cook. If you want to be a CPA…
3. Bring multiple copies of your resume. You should keep them in a portfolio with pen and paper in case you need to take down valuable information.
4. Do not forget to grab a card from everyone you meet! This is critical! You should always send a thank you email after interviewing or meeting someone within the company.
